Terms of business

  1. You are dealing with Autocalibration. In these terms of business, references to “we” or “our” means Autocalibration. By asking Autocalibration to carry out diagnostic, calibration, or programming work on your vehicle you agree that our work shall be governed by the following terms. Our contract with you is formed at the time of you making your appointment with us.
  2. Payment – upon completion of work by us you are required to pay by either business cheque or 30-day account. Business cheques will be collected at the time of job. If you request an account, you will have until the end of the next calendar month to complete payment for work carried out by us by means of a bank transfer. I.e., If the job is completed in January, payment is required for our service by the end of February. By requesting us to carry out work, you agree to these terms and any late payment may result in a penalty payment being added to your invoice.
  3. A successful calibration can depend on multiple factors. Autocalibration utilises a variety of software and tools to complete work on a large number of manufacturers vehicles. This does not mean we have 100% coverage and we may not be able to diagnose, calibrate or programme a small selection of vehicles. If this is the case, we will advise you and recommend an alternative solution. Conditions on site can also contribute to us not being able to provide our service, such as poor lighting, unlevel ground, severe weather and poorly fitted or functioning parts. If conditions are unsuitable, we will advise you of this and we reserve the right to return at another time to attempt a successful calibration.  If we are unable to successfully programme, calibrate or diagnose a vehicle, we exclude all liability for 3rd party costs related to these services.
  4. For coding and programming services we require access to the internet to enable a stable connection during the process.
  5. A video recording of visible damage and faults existing on your vehicle will be made by our technician before starting work on your vehicle. This includes a full diagnostic report both pre and post work carried out by us. We exclude all liability for repair of damage, whether visible or not, existing before we began to work on your vehicle. This includes any faults present on your vehicle before we start work.
  6. We will perform our service to the best of our ability at a time and location to be agreed between us. We reserve the right to change our appointment time with you for any reason. We will notify you in advance of any change to the agreed appointment time. If this is the case, you and Autocalibration do not intend that Autocalibration reimburse or compensate you for: your time; any loss of income; any loss of use of your vehicle; any costs or expenses incurred from loss of use of your vehicle; any loss of business or profits; any pure economic loss; any indirect or consequential loss suffered by you as a result of our work.
  7. Our liabilities: We are covered by Public Liability insurance and we have a Road Risk policy in place to be able to test drive vehicle where required. We have an indemnity limit of £50,000 which means we are not covered by our Road Risk policy to drive vehicles whose trade price exceeds this amount. Vehicles requiring Dynamic Calibrations over this limit will need to be driven by a current employer on your insurance policy.
